Terms & Conditions

Loss or Damage

Arty Splats is unable to take responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur to your child’s or your own (or other attending parties) clothing / footwear / belongings. We do provide splash suits for children but this does not give any guarantee that clothing will not be damaged. We recommend that you and your child wear clothing that is suitable for the messy nature of the sessions.

Health and Safety of your family

By enrolling onto the Arty Splats programme you are agreeing to take full responsibility for the safety of your child, yourself and all members of your family / party attending, throughout all Arty Splats classes. As a parent / guardian you take the ultimate decision in judging if an activity is appropriate for your child. Arty Splats does not assume liability for the health and safety of your family. A child under 36 months is attracted to toys and materials that may contain small parts. It is strongly recommended that you do not allow your child to put toys, props or materials into their mouth.

Arty Splats classes are structured to allow some circle time and some free play around activities. We request that children do not play with the activities until we have completed our opening circle time consisting of our welcome song, explanation of activities and getting our splash suits on. Your class leader will provide an overview of the main health and safety considerations before you commence the activities. It is your responsibility to assess the health and safety of the activities and participation for your child, yourself and your family whilst in attendance. If you arrive late to a class, please seek out your class leader to have a health and safety brief before you commence the activities.

We request that a child is closely supervised around the circuit of activities and that you help Arty Splats staff by informing of us of any spillages or other potential health and safety risks so that we can maintain a safe environment. Your child/ren should not be left unsupervised at any time.

Please ensure that your child/ren stay on the tarpaulin (protected flooring) whilst engaging in the messy play activities, this allows us to limit the spread of paint/messy materials onto unprotected flooring and help us to avoid slips

Illness and Allergies

You are asked not to attend a class if their child, yourself or any one in your party, has a contagious illness and that the incubation period advised by a doctor should be followed before re-attending. Please tell us if you have been advised by a medical professional that other children or adults may be a risk of an infection due to contact at one of our classes. If your child has had sickness and diarrhoea they should be clear of symptoms for 48 hours before attending classes.

You must declare medical conditions, intolerances or allergies which may compromise the health and safety of anyone in your party attending Arty Splats. It is your responsibility to keep us up to date after your registration details are submitted to the system, changes in details should be sent to warwickshire@artysplats.co.uk   Your class leader will explain the ingredients in each material used at the health and safety brief before participation. If you are unsure on the safety of an activity please consult with your class leader. If you arrive at a class and there is an activity which is not safe for your child based on allergies or a medical condition please inform the class leader immediately, a full refund for that class will be made but no other compensation will be made.

Covid 19

All class attendees are to follow the government guidelines around Covid-19 and will follow the specific instructions of the class leader to ensure the safety of the other attendees.

Please follow the current government guidelines if you have any symptoms or have been told to self isolate due to Covid-19.

Payments and refunds

Classes must be booked and paid for in advance for a block of sessions and are non-refundable. When payment is received, we guarantee your place for the booked class. If classes are cancelled due to bad weather, staff illness or issues with the venue, a catch up class will be offered or you will be refunded for the class. If Arty Splats provides a class in bad weather, it is up to your judgement to decide whether it is safe to travel based on your own circumstances.

Holiday classes - The advance payment of holiday classes is to reserve your space on the dates you specified and is non-refundable or transferable if you do not attend the booked class.

If any reason your usual teacher is unable to run a class and the class has to be re-scheduled we will add another class to the block and if you are unable to attend that session then we will refund that week’s class fee. Arty Splats reserve the right to cancel classes in some circumstances. We will endeavour to offer an alternative class and if this is not suitable then a refund will be issued. We are not responsible for travel expenses to an alternative venue or any other expenses incurred.

Our current class participants will be offered an exclusive window and right to renew for the next term of classes. After this window we will offer places to people on our waiting lists and places are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Your booking is not confirmed until the payment has been received. Paid spaces will be given priority. We do not issue refunds for missed classes due to your own circumstances.
