This group is specifically open to children with disabilities and additional needs. There is no specific age limit and is open to those who enjoy engaging in messy play/sensory play. This class is part funded by Chase Meadow Community Centre and we thank them for making this offering possible for the local community.

The sessions will be a safe space for children to be themselves and to play and explore a range of sensory/messy play activities. To make the sessions as accessible to all, please when you book can you fill in the medical info section with any information on how your child will need to access the play as well as any relevant medical information and allergies.

For example, we can supply lap trays for individuals of reduced mobility or those wishing to be in a quieter spot. We can reduce the noise and make other adaptations to make it as welcoming and user-friendly as possible – We look forward to working with you, the parent/carer, to better understand your child and their needs.

As with all Arty Splats sessions, children must be always supervised by their accompanying adult (parent/caregiver). We are hoping it is a time for the adults to have some fun and be able to enjoy some quality time to play (without the clearing up!)! Most importantly, by forming a regular monthly group, we hope the session will also offer grownups the opportunity to meet other families and make new friends sharing similar journeys: others who just ‘get it’ and the session will be a safe space for your little one to be themselves and with others around of similar mindsets.
